POP3/IMAP Settings [ Help Index ]
The POP3/IMAP Settings window allows you to configure your POP3 and IMAP configuration settings via the WebAdmin. You can define the following settings:
POP3 Settings
- Enable POP3 - Enables POP3 access by users
- Maximum connections - Defines the maximum number of concurrent connections to the POP3 server. This is to prevent denial-of-service attacks
- Maximum connections per IP - Defines the number of concurrent connections of an IP to the POP3 server. This is useful as to prevent the overloading of the POP3 service.
- POP3 IP Address - The IP address that the @Mail server will bind the server to. Should you enter 0 in the text field, it will bind the POP3 server to all available IPs on the server
IMAP Settings
- Enable IMAP - Enables IMAP access by users
- Maximum Connections - Defines the maximum number of concurrent connections to the IMAP server. This is to prevent denial-of-service attacks
- Maximum connections per IP - Defines the number of concurrent connections of an IP to the IMAP server. This is useful as to prevent the overloading of the IMAP service.
- IMAP IP Address - The IP address that the @Mail server will bind the server to. Should you enter 0 in the text field, it will bind the POP3 server to all available IPs on the server
- Idle Timeout - This settings defines how often the server will poll for changes on the IMAP server, when the user is idle
- Purge Trash / Spam Folder in X days - Defines the number of days Trash and Spam is kept on the folders before they are deleted permanently.
