Applying and Creating Skins
To apply a skin:
- Click on the logged user name at the top of the navigation tree. The logged user personal information appears on the screen.
- Click the Edit button.
- Select a skin from the Skin drop-down menu.
Note: Only "Active" skins are shown in the Skin menu. If you do not see the desired skin, please check whether it is currently active or not.
- Click the Update button.
To create a new Skin:
- Click Skins on the Brand Manager submenu, The list of all skins appears.
- Click the New Skin button.
- Fill the form that appears:
- Type the Skin name into the Title field.
- You can check the Enabled box to allow applying a skin as this described above.
- You can check the Allow inheritance box to allow using this skin as the parent one for the future skins.
- Select the skin that will server as the basis for a new one from the Parent skin drop-down menu.
- Click the Next button. The list of all interface elements of the Control Panel with corresponding colors (palette) appears. The current palette colors (with hex values) for each interface element are shown in Old value fields. The New value fields will reflect the newly selected colors (with appropriate hex values). To change the color of particular interface element:
- Set the radio button to the element you want to change color for (for example, Page background color or any other).
- Click on the color tile you like in the palette. The New value field will change its color into selected one.
- If you are sure that you would like newly set colors, click the Save button. Palette changes will be applied and the new skin summary appears.
- You can click the Edit button at the Images bar to change the images set. The tile of images that correspond to the parent skin appears.
Note: Since Parallels Business Automation - Standard images set are pretty big, please use Filter to customize images by groups.
- To replace or customize an image, click on its name. The popup window will be displayed:
- To change the image, set the radio button to the image itself and click on the image. After this, you can save it in the
gif
-format and change using appropriate tools. - To upload a new image instead of the existing one, set the radio button to Upload New Image and indicate the path (type in or use the Browse button). Click the Update button to upload new image.
- Click the Next button to apply changes. The confirmation screen appears.
To customize one of the existing Skins (non-default one and owned by you):
- Open the list of skins as this described above.
- Click on the Skin ID or name in the list.
- Click the Edit button at the General Information, Palette, or Images to change the skin title/availability, colors used, or set of images respectively.
Customize the skin in the same way as this described above for new Skin creation.
